Wheelie Bins Grotton

Two Wheelie Bins have been stolen on 31 August overnight and Set on Fire 

Police are asking residents to be vigilant following reports of wheelie bins being stolen from outside homes and set on fire around Grotton Park. 

What may appear to be vandalism could be linked to people attempting to get high from the toxic fumes produced when plastic is burned.

Burning wheelie bins releases harmful chemicals, creates a serious fire risk, and can cause damage to the local environment.

To help prevent this, residents are encouraged to keep bins within their property boundary where possible until collection day and return bins to their property as soon as possible after they have been emptied. Residents should also report suspicious behaviour or anyone moving bins from residential properties.
